We had looked for it locally and were unsuccessful. We were happy to find this coffee filter on Amazon. It fits our Braun coffee maker perfectly.
This one is built a bit different and looks like it solves that problem. My last one split along the bottom. Great price and quick shipment.
Great price, arrived promptly. Just what we were looking for to replace the same item that had lasted over 10 years. Very pleased.
It added almost $18.00 to the cost of my coffee maker.On the plus side, it does save a lot of paper, and dealing with Amazon is always a pleasure. I just feel that the price is a bit steep for this type of item. On the whole they perform very well and take the place of purchasing paper filters. Unfortunately these filters do not come in a standard size, so I had to purchase one. I have used gold filters in the past. They have been included when I've made a coffee maker purchase. You'd need to buy many hundreds of paper filters to make it a cost effective substitute.I actually have one at home that I was hoping to use.
Slightly difficult to clean - the bottom plastic part "u" seems to catch and hold those old coffee grounds, so you have to us a little bit of water to rinse it out completely. This filter works as advertised - it replaces the #4 paper filters we were using. The strangely placed indentations on the lid also make it so that the brewing pot does not close completely over the filter - but it still works.
